Translation Science LLC operates the TRB4 service. The company was founded in 2003 by Pablo Acevedo and Gary Hess.
Translation Science LLC is working to find ways of using existing data processing tools to increase productivity in the translation industry, with a special focus on eliminating inefficiencies in the procurement of translation services and administration of translation-related tasks (e.g. translation project management, linguist subcontracting).
The company's office is in the Sharon Building in San Francisco's Financial District. The Sharon Building (built in 1912) stands on New Montgomery facing the Palace Hotel across the street. Both buildings were designed by the prominent San Francisco architect, George Kelham.

Pablo Acevedo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University and has worked as a full-time English-Spanish translator since 1998.
